This will enable the non governmental organization to finalize the agreement with municipality on lease or other forms of territory transfer and start drafting of the shelter and its construction. Head of city service noted that the preparation of the document was delayed due to certain objective reasons, which impeded the procedures related to the territory transfer.

Teimuraz Tsikoridze noted on the meeting that the unclear reasons which impeded fulfillment of the municipality promise, creates problems to foreign donors and parties responsible for program completion. Impediment unfortunately caused certain distrust among different interested parties to the authors of the project. In this scenario shelter for stray animals will start functioning in approximately three months and some unattended animals will find home in the new shelter.
