Sick Caucasian Shepherd Dog "Loma" rescued from euthanasia needs your financial help.
He was found on 1 December 2019 in the village Digomi, appeared to be suffering greatly and taken to a municipal shelter in Tbilisi. Once there, Loma was diagnosed with demodicosis, fungus, and plague. As no one wished to care for Loma, the municipal shelter rule required him to be put down.
However, GSPSA rescued the dog from the municipal shelter on 4 December and registered Loma under the organization. We are currently paying foster care for Loma and have started the treatment, which is expected to take 3 months. Once completed, we want to find him the forever home he deserves.
Breed: Caucasian Shepherd
Gender: Male
Age: Aproximately 8 years old
Physical condition: Due to his physical condition, we are thinking that the former owner was quarreling with other dogs, tied up and in unbearable conditions.
Of course, Loma's struggle for life on a monthly basis is linked to both physical and financial resources.
GSPSA - Is doing it's best to preserve the dog's life.
Update: (28.02.2020)
Video is taken after three months of treatment.
The dog is fully healed from the plague, but the shiver may last a lifetime. Currently, treatment for skin problems (demadecosis, trichophytosis, sarcoptosis) is underway.
