Zugdidi, Georgia – Cruelty towards Helpless Puppies – 03.03.2018

Video and information on puppies thrown away in waste containers in Zugdidi, Georgia was published via social network.

Information was published by Veterinary Center Zooplaza via Facebook Page on March 3, 2018:

“The video was submitted by a schoolboy Buba Kenjia from Zugdidi. It is shot in Zugdidi, at industrial district. The puppies were rescued from the container by Buba himself and two of his friends. This action should be praised! We will not comment on the person who committed this abuse.

Veterinary Center Zooplaza is against any cruelty to animals!

We appeal to animal right organizations – please, pay attention to this and similar cases!”

GSPSA appeals to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to check the information and start investigation.

This fact of throwing helpless puppies in litter once more proves low level of public awareness and lack of strict regulations.

Zooplaza further comments on this information, that after rescue from litter “the puppies were in Zugdidi looked after BubaKenjia, but unfortunately in four days all three of them died.”

GSPSA would like to thank BubaKenjia from Zugdidi, who rescued the puppies from waste container and tried to save them.
