Another Animal Cruelty in Tbilisi – 08.01.2018

2018 started with animal cruelty towards stray animals in Tbilisi.

Based on information received by Animal Monitoring Agency of Tbilisi City Hall on January 8. 2018, a seriously injured dog was found on Nutsubidze street. Mobile group of the agency promptly went to the area and the animal was transferred to the municipal shelter. Two knife wounds were visible on the face and a cut in the lower part of the spine. The surgery and treatment was facilitated. Thanks to veterinarians of the shelter, the dog was saved, but due to injuries the dog has difficulties in feeding. At present the dog is under intensive veterinary care. Respective investigation has started.
