On 2013 February 16, the Georgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals - GSPSA started its stray female dogs’ spay programme with the financing and support of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation.
The first surgical operation was done on a one-year-old dog living at the shelter. The veterinary service was provided by the veterinary Marina DELAVERI (cynology club “Lord Lamar”) and the head of GSPSA’s veterinary service, Alexander CHIKVAIDZE.
The surgical operation was completed at the new veterinary clinic of GSPSA. 60 dogs’ spay operations will be done in the frame of this programme.
