Another Dog Was Shot in Tbilisi

Animal Shelter of Animal Monitoring Agency of Tbilisi City Hall received a stray dog shot in the head based on information on March 10, 2018.

Veterinary service of the shelter facilitated emergency assistance to the animal. The seriousness of the conditions was caused by hematoma in the head, which was treated.

The Agency called the police who prepared the required papers. Presumably a criminal case will be filed. The dog was shot using shotgun, due to which ballistic expertise may not be feasible.

Based on March 11 information, the dog is stable.

GSPSA would like to thank the Agency for saving the dog.

GSPSA will appeal the prosecutor office of Tbilisi to take the case under control.
