Rangers Saved a Fawn in Borjomi

Rangers found a fawn stuck in the fence within Borjomi-Kharaguli Administration on January 5, 2018. The fawn’s leg was broken. The rangers rescued the fawn.

Based on joint decision of Borjomi-Kharagauli Protected Areas Administration and Georgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals the injured fawn was transferred to Tbilisi. Emergency veterinary service was facilitated by veterinary clinic Aibo. X-ray showed that front legs were broken. The legs were fixated. The fawn was transferred to Tbilisi Zoo for further care and treatment. If the fawn recovers, it will return to the protected area.
