{"id":456,"date":"2011-04-05T15:22:55","date_gmt":"2011-04-05T15:22:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gspsa.org.ge\/?p=456"},"modified":"2017-11-09T10:29:16","modified_gmt":"2017-11-09T10:29:16","slug":"april-4-2011-animal-defenders-signed-memorandum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gspsa.org.ge\/en\/april-4-2011-animal-defenders-signed-memorandum\/","title":{"rendered":"On April 4, 2011, Animal Defenders Signed a Memorandum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April 4, 2011, the Stray Animals Day, the leaders of Georgia\u2019s animal defense non-governmental organizations: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gspsa.org.ge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cGeorgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals \u2013 GSPSA\u201d<\/a>, \u201cTamaz Elizbarashvili's Association for the Rescue and Protection of dogs\u201dand <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vet-express.ge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">\u201cGeorgian Society for the Protection of Animals\u201d<\/a>\u00a0signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/s007.radikal.ru\/i302\/1104\/b0\/6b6c92c49c55.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"166\" \/>By signing the document, the leaders of the animal defense organizations: <strong>Teimuraz Tsikoridze <\/strong>\u2013 \u201cGeorgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals \u2013 GSPSA\u201d, <strong>Tamaz Elizbarashvili <\/strong>\u201cTamaz Elizbarashvili's Association for the Rescue and Protection of dogs\u201d \u2013 and\u00a0<strong>Vakhtang Mamaladze<\/strong> \u2013\u201cGeorgian Society for the Protection of Animals\u201d certified close cooperation in the field of animal protection, rescue, and animal rights advocacy. The main goals are to create more favourable environment for animals, prevent cruelty to animals, encourage the government to improve the legislation in this field, provide veterinary service, raise public awareness and promote establishment of humane attitude to animals.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/s12.radikal.ru\/i185\/1104\/3b\/650013862b93.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"165\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is noteworthy that the Memorandum was signed on April 4, the Stray Animals Day<a href=\"http:\/\/www.strayanimalsday.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(http:\/\/www.strayanimalsday.org)<\/a>, which is an important symbolic fact.
