The Parliament of Georgia has adopted the "Law of Georgia on Domestic Animals"

"Law of Georgia on Domestic Animals"

The goals and objectives of the law are: to create a legal basis for activities and/or actions in the field of domestic animal management that will contribute to the creation of a safe living environment for humans and domestic animals, to protect domestic animals and humans from threats posed by other domestic animals, to protect domestic animals from improper and cruel treatment, and to introduce humane principles and methods of animal care and population management.
