Pet Adoption, Every Sunday, Tbilisi, Bukia Garden
Adoption event for puppies and kittens will be held in Bukia Garden, Tbilisi, starting from 17:00 every Sunday.
The main objective of the event is to facilitate adoption of pets from shelters.
Puppies, kittens, young dogs and cats will be brought to the event from Tbilisi Municipal Shelter, Shelter of Georgian Society for the Protection and Safety of Animals and other shelters. The pets have all undergone respective veterinary service at the shelter. Registration certificates will be given to the new owners. The interested individuals will be consulted by the veterinarians, dog behavior specialists, representatives of animal protection organizations; informational leaflets will be distributed.
47 events had been held and 266 puppies and kittens adopted with the incentive of Municipal Service and GSPSA within the program of stray animal adoption from shelters in 2013-2015. Events were cancelled due to the flood of June 14, which caused great loss. Now the events will be renewed in Bukia Garden famous in Georgia for community dogs and stray dogs taken care of. First adoption event was held on April 4, 2016.
Events of the program of stray animal adoption from the shelters will be held in Bukia Garden every Sunday.
