In September Information and photos depicting cruelty toward a chained dog in Vardisubani village in Telavi Municipality were published on Facebook. The dog had a metal chain around its neck instead of a leash, which resulted in the chain lacerating and infecting the throat tissue; this Obviously subjected the dog to a great deal of pain and suffering.
On September 25, the dog was transported to the veterinary clinic in Tbilisi. The dog's health condition was critically bad. The dog's psychological condition was also quite bad due to sustained suffering.
After full recovery the dog will be put up for adoption.
